Engineering Services for Muara Karang Gas Power Plant Project (1.020 MW).
The power station (the project site) is located in 10 km north-northeast of the central part of Jakarta city and 12 km east of Jakarta airport (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport).
The project comprises the installation of one (1) block of 720 MW combined cycle gas fired power plant together with all the associated auxilliary equipment, station support facilities and related transmission facilities including the demolition of existing three (3) units of 100 MW conventional oil fired power plant.
The plant operated on adequate quantity and pressure of natural gas from a natural gas field located in offshore of West Java via 26 inch diameter pipeline constructed in 1993. Muara Karang power station, after repowering required 100 to 120 MMSFD of natural gas.
Existing Muara Karang power station has been connected to 150 kV transmission system in Jakarta area. Improvement of transmission system such as conductor replacement, raising up tower height and up-rating of substation are included in the project.
